Overview
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of network devices such as switches, routers, wireless access points; preferably CISCO certified.
- Knowledge / understanding of assigning switch ports to specific VLANs.
- Patch phone ports to switch as needed.
- Troubleshooting of Avaya VOIP phones (basic configuration).
- Troubleshooting issues with fiber links between switches; visualize errors and communicate to remote technical teams.
- Troubleshoot and replace network switch chassis blades when required.
- Understand Data Center Infrastructure Management applications.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, etc.
- Networking and operating system basics.
- Assist network and data center admins (internal, customer and vendor) during technical troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge about hardware like servers and storage devices.
