Network Engineer – Check Point

Contract: 6 Months rolling
Remote
I am currently working with a leading financial markets organization that is looking to hire an experienced Network Engineer .
The role will focus on supporting Check Point firewall environments , delivering software upgrades , and executing hardware migrations within a high-availability, secure infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Support and manage Check Point firewalls
Perform software upgrades and patching
Deliver network hardware migrations
Troubleshoot and support complex network environments
Required Skillset
Strong expertise in enterprise networking environments
Hands-on experience with Check Point , alongside technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, SilverPeak, Viptela, Versa Networks, F5, and Citrix
Solid knowledge of routing, switching, data centre networking, load balancing, WAN optimisation, SD-WAN, VPNs, wireless, and internet architectures
Experience delivering software upgrades and hardware migrations
Understanding of network design across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud)
Exposure to network programmability and automation , including REST APIs, RESTCONF, NETCONF, CLI, NX-API , orchestration tools, Terraform, Nornir, Jinja2 , and Python
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools , databases, and identity-based access controls (e.g. ISE, IAM)
Working knowledge of virtualisation technologies
Ability to collaborate with applications, storage, telecoms, systems, and wider infrastructure teams
