Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

• Support senior network engineers in incident response and troubleshooting efforts. 

• Assist in monitoring network performance and reacting to alerts and system events. 

• Help investigate and resolve customer-reported technical issues related to the network. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including NOC, onboarding, and engineering. 

• Document resolutions and maintain updated network documentation.

 • Participate in on-call support rotation (as needed and trained).

   

Requirements: 

  • Implement and manage dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
  • Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching features such as VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), EtherChannel, VRRP / HSRP, Link Aggregation, and Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS).
  • Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and regular health checks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot GRE tunnels for secure connectivity across sites.
  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 2–3 network issues using Command Line Interface (CLI) and various monitoring tools.
  • Configure and manage Load Balancers for traffic distribution and application availability.
  • Implement Layer 4–7 load balancing, health checks, SSL offloading, and basic content switching policies.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot load-balanced services to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Configure and manage Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls for perimeter and internal security.
  • Implement comprehensive firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN (IPSec), and high availability (HA) configurations.
  • Monitor firewall logs and alerts, investigate security events, and support incident response.
  • Collaborate effectively with application and network teams to support deployments and resolve critical issues.
  • Preferred certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or NSE4+.
  • Follow ITIL-based change management processes for configuration updates, deployments, and upgrades.
  • Evaluate and implement network or security changes while minimizing business impact.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document incidents with recommended preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate changes, escalations, and incident resolutions.
