Qualifications:
- Technical experience in Data Center and Enterprise Routing and Switching is required.
- In-depth knowledge of implementing and supporting multi-vendor complex Routing and Switching infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot large enterprise networks.
- Ability to explain technical concepts, give clients guidance and vision about the solution.
- Experience with network topology modeling analysis.
- Support of new technology solutions like automation and SD-WAN / SD-DC.
- Experience with development of build of materials lists, obtaining quotes, and producing technology refresh plans.
- Ability to work independently, self-starter required.
- Experience supporting network security devices (IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Load balancers) and Encryption devices.
- Proven experience working with Network Management and Analysis tools.
- Experience working with cloud networking.
- Experience with installation of structured cabling.
- Provide technical input on the Networking needs of all software and hardware used in the customers environment, which includes multi-vendor solutions.
- Experience with Data Center, VOIP, network and security engineering and design.
- Experience with network and security automation preferred, i.E. Ansible, Python, JavaScript, Terrform, etc
- Experience with network vendor API’s a plus.
- Experience with Cisco, VMware Velocloud, Palo Alto, or any other SDWAN vendor a plus.
- Experience with Cisco, VMware. Palo Alto or any other SASE vendor a plus.
- Experience with Azure, AWS and/or GCP a plus.
SD-WAN or SASE-related experience, not just traditional R & S.
Enterprise traditional network support (R & S, hardware, etc.) and NaaS, programming, automation, SD-WAN type work.
They will be on the forefront of service build out – exposure to the latest and greatest technologies while still working with some traditional network engineer tasks.
Requirements:
- 3+ years minimum experience in Network Engineering in a Managed Service Provider or similar workspace or 5+ minumum experiece in a Network Engineering role in a Enterprise workspace.
- Vendor Associates, I.E CCNA, JNCIA, etc or higher level network certification.
- Associates degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Experience with network and security automation preferred, i.E. Ansible, Python, Javascript, Terrform, etc
**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Managed Service Providers, Architects, Security, and Engineers for Network transformation and improvements.
- Design and implementation of networking solutions
- Assist in efforts with tools/product selections and conducting proof of concepts.
- Provide input and comprehensive review of design documents, provide verbal and written feedback to the author
- Ability to think technically then translate into clear verbal and written communications for technical and non-technical audiences
- Create documents and presentations
- Provide recommendations to be considered in developing the Technology roadmap
- Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Security, and IT staff to drive company objectives
- Implement best practices and standards, and drive technology portfolio management discipline
- Ensure adherence to standards and reference architectures for the domain
- Communicate clearly and effectively with architecture, project / program managers etc.
