job summary:we are looking for an l1 noc engineer responsible for monitoring leased line links and network infrastructure. the role involves first-level monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and coordination with service providers/vendors to ensure 24x7 uptime and sla adherence.________________________________________key responsibilities: monitor leased line links, wan, lan, and backbone infrastructure through nms tools. perform real-time network monitoring, identify outages, packet drops, latency, or performance degradation. log incidents and update ticketing systems (like servicenow, remedy, or internal tool). provide first-level troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, checking device/interface status). escalate unresolved issues to l2/l3 engineers or isp/vendor as per defined sop. coordinate with telecom carriers/service providers for fault resolution. follow shift rosters (24x7 support environment). maintain daily network health check reports and shift handover logs. ensure sla compliance and proper incident documentation.________________________________________required skills & qualifications: graduate/diploma in electronics/it/telecom/computer science. 02 years of experience in noc/network monitoring (freshers with ccna/n+ certification can also apply). basic understanding of leased lines, mpls, vpn, and internet links. knowledge of networking fundamentals (ip addressing, routing basics, osi layers). hands-on with monitoring tools (solarwinds, nagios, prtg, zabbix, or equivalent). strong communication and coordination skills (with internal teams & isps). willingness to work in 24x7 shifts.________________________________________good to have: ccna / comptia network+ certification. prior experience with isp or enterprise noc. familiarity with itil ticketing process.
