Description
The Network Engineer’s role is to support the stable operation of the computer network. The person will perform basic installation, configuration and maintenance, and document all network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. The person will also perform the basic diagnosis, resolution and documentation of hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support where required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists with support to network infrastructure initiatives in the areas of preventative maintenance, configuration back-ups, capacity planning, network redundancy, and disaster recovery.
2. Provides basic network administration and assists with complex network administration.
3. Monitors network infrastructure with some guidance.
4. Updates network documentation both written and network diagrams.
