As a Network Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the design and planning of data center network infrastructure with a focus on security, availability, and performance
  • Operate, upgrade, and maintain Fortinet’s data center network infrastructure
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, optimization, and process enhancements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and virtualization issues independently and collaboratively
  • Provide technical leadership by actively sharing knowledge and supporting team members
  • Create and maintain documentation for configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes
  • Assist with hardware procurement, staging, and deployment as required
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide after-hours support

    • We Are Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting or operating mission critical environments
  • Solid knowledge of network administration and industry standards, equivalent to CCNA or higher
  • Strong hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, and VPNs
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Experience with network, server, and systems monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus)
  • Basic working knowledge of server virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM)
  • Familiarity with DCIM or source-of-truth tools (e.g., NetBox)
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Japanese
