Job Title: L1 Network Engineer

Experience: 1 to 3 years' experience in Network devices configuration and monitoring

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented L1 Network Engineer to join our IT

support team. As a L1 Network Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for

network-related issues, responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalating

incidents in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Network switch and access point configuration

- Configuration of MAC address binding and port security

- VLAN configuration

- Monitoring of network devices and ISP links

- Respond to network alerts and incidents as per standard operating procedures.

- Perform basic troubleshooting of network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)

- Assist in diagnosing hardware and software issues in switches and routers.

- Handle service desk tickets related to network connectivity and escalate to

L2/L3 teams as needed.

- Document issues, solutions, and procedures for future reference.

- Coordinate with ISPs for link related issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a

related field.

- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs

and subnets.

- Basic knowledge of routing protocols

- Familiarity with Cisco and Meraki network equipment (certifications like CCNA

are a plus).

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA (Cisco Certified Network

Associate).
