Summary
:The Permitting Specialist is responsible for obtaining all required entitlement approvals to ensure external customers' installations are completed on time and within budget. The Specialist will provide timely system updates and communicate effectively, proposing jurisdictional permitting and zoning solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions:
Submit and acquire entitlements, approvals, and agreements from jurisdictions for facility installations in public right-of-way areas.
Maintain accurate forecasting and ensure milestone tasks are completed on schedule.
Review drawings to ensure compliance with jurisdictional standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, facilitate progress, and achieve milestone targets to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Interface with jurisdictional staff regarding applicable laws, codes, and ordinances, leveraging regulatory status to address deployment objections.
Serve as an escalation point for resident complaints to the Network Operations Center.
Provide zoning and permitting updates and expertise during customer meetings when required.
Represent the company before local agencies, planning authorities, and city councils.
Manage third-party vendors as needed, including expediters, outside counsel, and inspectors.
Assist in researching and preparing authorization analyses detailing applicable processes, costs, and timelines for new project opportunities.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
3–5 years of proven experience in municipal planning, land use, or the wireless industry.
Experience presenting and speaking to public government entities is desired.
