Network Planning Engineer

About the role

As a Network Planning Engineer, you will conduct geographically based network planning, ensuring that the distribution network meets changes in electrical demand, including industrial growth, housing development and emerging technologies like batteries and datacentres. This will include assessing the impact of customer connections and long‑term master‑planning, ensuring that quality of supply and reliability is maintained for new and existing customers. You will develop innovative commercial engineering solutions to meet customer and network needs, from high to low voltage. South Australia has world‑leading uptake and integration of variable renewable energy and distributed energy resources, necessitating planning engineers who can adapt our network for the energy system of the future.
