Required Skill Set

The Technical Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced network security solutions using Fortinet technologies, primarily FortiGate firewalls. This role involves leading technical projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with security best practices.

Must Have:

• Fortinet NSE certifications (NSE4, NSE5, NSE7).

Experience with multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point).

• Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and integration with Fortinet solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design

• Develop and maintain secure network architectures leveraging FortiGate NGFW, SD-WAN, and related Fortinet products.
• Design firewall policies, VPN configurations, segmentation strategies, and high-availability setups.

Implementation & Management

• Deploy, configure, and optimize FortiGate firewalls and associated security services (IPS, antivirus, SSL inspection).
• Manage firewall rule base, NAT, and security profiles to ensure compliance and performance.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for network security issues.
• Mentor and guide network engineers on Fortinet best practices.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud teams for integrated security solutions.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Perform advanced troubleshooting of network and firewall issues.
• Monitor security events and ensure proactive threat mitigation.

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational runbooks.
