Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.



Responsibilities:

  • Target, schedule, patch installation, governance and report to drive risk reduction

  • Execute and oversee server patching during specified maintenance windows using a variety of mechanisms and tools including BladeLogic jobs, custom scripts and perform manual updates where required on more complex systems

  • Execute pre-checks to help ensure successful patching events and post-checks to ensure system stability and configuration consistency

  • Communicate regularly with application production support teams, platform engineering teams and level 3 systems operations teams

  • Troubleshoot and resolve patch and server failures and escalate where needed
