Description and Requirements

  • Engineer of Storage (SSD/UFS) for Commercial NB PCs (ThinkPad, NECPC, Educational models etc.)
  • Communication interface to suppliers and Lenovo internal cross functional teams for all technical issues related to Storage
  • Skilled in test and analysis methods, use of laboratory analysis equipment
  • Creates and maintains device specifications and reviews / directs suppliers for device deviations
  • Creates test plan / report for Storage qualification
  • Develops test procedures, writes and maintains test tools/scripts for Storage qualification
  • Directs/audits supplier & outsourcing vendor for qualification testing (approve/dispute results, etc.)
  • Directs defect analysis and problem resolution. Manage suppliers & outsourcing vendors to resolve issues and review/approve fix plan
  • Performs pre-qualification testing, design review, and critical qualification tests
  • Propose new features and integrate it into new PC products
  • Support Product Development to enable emerging Storage technologies with technical expertise
  • Manages Storage Engineering Laboratory and operations, including maintenance and audit readiness
  • Publishes technical disclosures, white papers, and patents as appropriate
  • Report Qualification Status. Make an organized presentation for technical details
