Summary:

  • The company: responsible for improve transport quality
  • Reports directly to the Transport Spatial System Manager
  • Manages, coordinates and analyses the GIS databases to contribute to better transport outcomes

    • Here are some of the responsibilities of the role:

  • Ensuring clear and insightful reporting by maintaining quality documentation of analysis, methodology and findings
  • Creating, analysing, and presenting spatial data
  • Automating project workflows and data integrations
  • Providing GIS SME, GIS development, and GIS data modelling input to stakeholders and projects
  • Deploying ArcGIS Online applications and other mobile GIS applications
  • Providing innovatory spatial solutions to projects

    • What technical skills you'll need to succeed:

  • API’s
  • ArcGIS or other GIS, ETL (such as FME) software, BI tools (Tableau, SAP Business Objects)
  • ArcGIS suite of products: ArcGIS - Pro, - Online, -Apps, -ArcCatalog, -ArcSDE, mobile GIS solutions and ArcGIS Server
  • SQL
  • Java Script
  • Python

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service approach
  • Experience in sourcing, capturing and maintaining datasets
