NUCLEAR ENGINEER

Summary You will serve as a NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the RADIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING DIVISION (C/105.2) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will provide engineering direction pertinent to control of radioactivity and personnel exposure to ionizing radiation. You will provide oversight and assure appropriate radiological controls are being factored into the planning and technical engineering procedures. You will be responsible for facilitating technical subordinates in accomplishing assigned tasks via mentoring, identification and communication of training needs to the Branch Head (BH). You will provide feedback to BH on technical competency issues in their Area of Responsibility (AOR). You will maintain close liaison with production personnel and resolve technical problems identified during the production phase of a job (e.g., Deficiency Report resolutions, Technical Work Document (TWD) changes).
