**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
Responsible for performing patient evaluations, reviewing pretreatment teaching, recommending therapeutic intervention, counseling patients and families and collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide other appropriate direct care interventions within the scope of practice for nurse practitioner in collaboration with the Program Director. Primary point of contact and assumes responsibilities for managing the care for patients.
+ Takes 1st call after hours and weekends included for all patients on service (ICU/Floor/Tele and after hours for answering service for clinic patients).
+ One day/week call after 5pm is the minimum requirement of the position
+ One weekend call per/month which will include patient rounding or other patient care needs identified (e.g. admissions/discharges) by the on-call attending will begin at 5pm on Friday- 8am on Monday).
