Your Opportunity: Alberta Health Services, Edmonton Zone Medical Affairs, is currently recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner at Westview Health Centre, to assess and manage the needs of Family medicine patients under their care in collaboration with the admitting physician. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) role is to promote excellence in clinical practice, utilizing a comprehensive knowledge base and an excellent ability to apply it to the clinical setting. As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master’s degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
