Nursery Assistant

We’re looking for an experienced Nursery Supervisor who can take full ownership of plant sourcing, maintenance, and dispatch operations. The role is ideal for someone who understands ornamental, flowering, and fruit plants — and can manage a nursery end-to-end with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Source high-quality ornamental, flower, and fruit plants from trusted vendors
• Negotiate rates, inspect quality, and ensure a stable supply pipeline
• Manage daily nursery operations: watering, pruning, fertilizing, pest control
• Maintain stock of plants, soil, fertilizers, pots, and packing material
• Conduct daily plant health checks and maintain quality standards
• Supervise picking, packing, and safe dispatch of live plants for e-commerce orders
• Ensure proper packaging to reduce transit damage
• Lead and manage a small team for nursery maintenance and order fulfilment
• Maintain records of purchases, stock movement, damage, and daily operations
• Coordinate closely with the logistics/dispatch team

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of ornamental, flowering, and fruit plants
• Experience in nursery management and plant health/disease identification
• Understanding of e-commerce packing standards for live plants
• Vendor sourcing and rate negotiation
• Team management and SOP execution
• Basic inventory and record-keeping skills

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial nursery operations
• Hands-on experience with live plant care
• Physically fit, reliable, and proactive
• Ability to manage operations independently
