Occupational Therapist School Setting in Austin, TX

Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in Austin, TX, with assignments also covering San Marcos CISD, San Marcos, TX. This position spans the current school year (CSY) with a start date as soon as possible and extending through May 22, 2026. The role involves working across multiple school sites, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Key responsibilities include: Providing direct occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60-65 students Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess student needs Collaborating and consulting with school staff to support student success Participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to develop individualized education plans Qualifications: Current and valid Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) licensure Experience working in school-based therapy settings preferred Ability to manage a sizeable caseload effectively Flexibility to travel between multiple school locations Willingness to collaborate with a VOCO OT and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for evaluation and therapy delivery This contract offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences through direct therapy and interdisciplinary collaboration in a dynamic school environment.
