Job Description

We are seeking an Office Administrator (Part-time, 5 days per week, 9:00am – 3:00pm) based in Forrestdale to assist in the smooth running of a horticultural business. The role involves handling general office duties such as administration, data entry, filing, reception, and other ad hoc tasks as required.

This position plays a key role in ensuring customers and staff receive the best possible support through efficient and professional administrative service. You will also be responsible for communicating issues and offering practical solutions to management.

This is a permanent role and includes a small amount of accounting work, daily banking, and preparation of weekly statements.

  • General administration duties
  • Maintain and update internal databases and records
  • Daily banking: Reconciling accounts, processing daily EFT and cash received
  • Growers: Entering invoices and processing weekly payments
  • Weekly customer statements: Preparing and sending statements
  • Stock management: Conducting stock takes and ordering chemicals, fertiliser, and production consumables
  • Quarantine and customs duties: Entering stock in portals for release and maintaining Excel accrual spreadsheets
  • Production data entry: Assisting in quarterly royalties’ reporting
  • Recruitment support: Posting job advertisements, preparing employment packs, and updating files
  • Maintenance research: Ordering parts as required
  • Ad hoc tasks

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
  • A strong work ethic, be self-motivated, work independently and show initiative
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A methodical approach to paperwork with the ability to prioritise and manage workflow tasks
  • Work well within a team, with a happy and can-do attitude
  • Ability to absorb new tasks quickly (accounts experience preferred but not essential)
  • A preference for working in a small office environment
