**Job Title**: Office Nurse - Gastroenterology Practice (LPN or RN)
**Location**: Onsite - 9410 Calumet Ave, Suite 401, Munster, IN 46321, US
**Employment Type**: Full-Time
**Salary Range**: $4,800 - $6,400 per month
**Reports To**: Head Nurse / Practice Manager
**Position Overview**
Our established Gastroenterology practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Office Nurse (LPN or RN)** to join our team. In this role, you will support providers in delivering specialized care for patients with **digestive health conditions.**You will assist with a variety of procedures, provide **pre
- and post-procedure education**, and handle **day-to-day clinical and administrative tasks.**
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys meaningful patient interaction, teamwork, and the variety of working in a specialized outpatient setting.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Clinical Duties**
- Take patient histories and vital signs with a focus on GI symptoms and concerns.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for GI consultations and minor in-office procedures.
- Educate patients on bowel preparation and post-procedure care.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems (gGastro, EPIC, AthenaHealth).
**Administrative Support**
- Address patient inquiries regarding symptoms, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and prior authorizations.
- Schedule procedures and provide comprehensive pre
- and post-op instructions.
- Maintain proper inventory and cleanliness of exam rooms and clinical areas.
**Patient Education & Support**
- Provide education on GI conditions, treatments, dietary modifications, and medication regimens.
- Serve as a compassionate resource and advocate throughout the patient’s care journey.
**Qualifications**
- **Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)** or **Registered Nurse (RN)** with active licensure.
- **Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).**:
- **Advanced written and spoken English proficiency required**; certification **preferred** but not required.
- **Minimum 3 years of experience**in GI, internal medicine, or outpatient specialty preferred.
- **BLS certification required**; **ACLS** and additional certifications are a **plus.**:
- **Willingness to relocate to the United States (visa sponsorship and relocation assistance provided).**
