About the role

Thiess is currently seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join our Olive Downs Complex in the Bowen Basin.


Working a 8/6 roster, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of health and safety procedures, including but not limited to facilitating risk assessments

  • Ensuring compliance with the Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme

  • Managing incident reporting and investigation processes

  • Compiling and analysing safety data for monthly reports

  • Support on site injury management and return to work requirements

  • Performing other duties as directed by the HS&T Manager

    • About You

  • Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety, or relevant to related field and/or willing to obtain

  • Previous experience as a Health, Safety, and Training Officer within resources, construction, or a similar industry would be advantage...
