Job Description

Reporting to **Manager - Product Development,** this position is responsible for supporting New Product Release by applying appropriate Goodyear standards and procedures to solve problems. The incumbent understands and can apply standard tools to improve customer satisfaction and Product/process capability.

**What You'll Do:**


+ Utilize and apply understanding of suppliers and Customer requirements (internal and external) relevant to specific New Product lines.
+ Control and analysis whole plant for reduction in Cured and Green tire defects for new tires being released
+ Coach, teach and direct the application of technical solutions to meet product and process requirements. Viewed as a technical content expert.
+ Lead and coordinate product and process improvements within relevant quality guidelines and standards using appropriate quality engineering tools.
+ Diagnose Product and process performance indicators and trends using applicable analytical tools to effectively solve problems.
+ Plant Optimization (PO)/Goodyear Production Process (GPS) and use PO /GPS methods to drive process improvements.
+ Recognize and identify problems, and achieve solutions with appropriate tools and methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs.
+ Ensure and Manage Uniformity performance through DFU, DMAIC process for OE and replacement codes.
+ Design and develop new products as per the business requirements by following 1S system timelines
+ Design the green extrude profiles to meet CCSD specifictaions
+ Analysie and derive action plan for failure tires in certification /OEM testings
+ Execute the uniformity and waste related action plan for New SKUs & released SKUs if any based on DMAIC Approach
+ Drive to define Key machine parameters that need to be controlled and maintained to deliver stable performance of the product
+ Manage product lines on the key variables to be controlled to deliver consistent Unifomrity and waste performance
+ Coach Engineers in recognition and identification of problems. Drive new problem solving strategies to release the tires with Zero defects
+ Ensure to release new product lines with As Produced yield >90% and Waste <0.5%
+ Mentoring NPI-Monitors
+ Expert in implementing new problem solving tools (Ex. BrainCube)
+ Use collaboration to solve problems and make decisions between teams, functions.
+ Drive new tools and methods to solve problems and make decisions. Effectively use internal resources
+ Lead plant NPI to provide Check tire/Test Tire and related data reporting and define next course of actions with TE and Regional asscoiates

**What We're Looking For:**


+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Technology
+ Minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience in PCR category
+ Experience in the tire industry

**What Will Set You Apart:**


+ Hands-on experience in MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
