Role Overview

The dbt SME acts as the architectural authority for the target-state transformation layer, defining standards, patterns, and best practices for dbt development. This role is responsible for establishing the dbt project structure, enforcing modeling conventions, and ensuring consistent implementation of transformations, tests, and performance strategies.
