Key Responsibilities: Provide compassionate nursing care to patients with blood cancers and related conditions Administer medications, blood transfusions, and electrolyte replacements according to established protocols Support treatment plans involving acute hematology patients; no chemo/biotherapy administration unless certified Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards for patient safety and care quality Utilize medical equipment including telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and infusion pumps Maintain accurate records within the Meditech electronic medical records system Desired Experience and Qualifications: Active RN licensure with strong background in medical-surgical or oncology nursing Compassionate approach to chronic and oncology patient populations Ability to adapt quickly and learn new protocols and procedures Preferred: Chemo and biotherapy certification and step-down care experience Familiarity with procedures such as thoracentesis and conscious sedation techniques advantageous About the Unit:Located on an 18-bed floor, the Blood Cancer Unit features a team of 37 dedicated professionals who prioritize primary nursing and teamwork.
