Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to oncology patients, including management of blood and electrolyte replacements. Assist with complex procedures such as lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain low patient-to-nurse ratios (typically 3-4:1) for high-quality care. Follow strict protocols for handling hazardous materials and medication administration; chemotherapy/biotherapy administration only for certified staff. Adapt to a dynamic, evidence-based practice environment with a focus on minimizing infections and patient falls. Qualifications: Current RN licensure with oncology nursing experience preferred. Compassionate approach tailored to oncology and chronic patient populations. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to unit guidelines and procedures. Chemo and biotherapy certification and step-down unit experience are highly desirable. Comfortable working in an environment using Meditech EMR and standard oncology equipment.
