Senior Bookkeeper – Leading Accounting Practice | Up to $85K + Super

Our client, a well-established accounting practice, is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bookkeeper to take on a senior role with a firm that values professional development and client excellence.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for delivering comprehensive bookkeeping services to a diverse client portfolio, whilst mentoring junior staff and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. This role offers genuine career progression within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process client bookkeeping and maintain accurate accounting balances
  • Review work prepared by bookkeeping staff for allocated clients
  • Manage client relationships and communications
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the accounting team
  • Contribute to process improvements and service enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards

Essential Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping software (Xero, MYOB, QBO, Dext)
  • Strong understanding of business tax obligations (GST, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Super, WorkCover)
  • Experience with payroll processing and employee entitlements
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Minimum 32 billable hours per week capacity
