Open Pit Manager

About the Role

Reporting to the Operational General Manager, this is a site‑based position operating on an 8:6, 4:3 roster. You will be responsible for the effective management of the Group's open pit mining division and for delivering strong operational, safety and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Overall leadership of open pit mining activities, including safety, technical and commercial performance
• Development and management of open pit Life of Mine plans and scenario modelling
• Financial assessment of mining projects and mining areas
• Budget preparation, forecasting, accruals and cost control
• Active management of mining contractors to ensure contractual, physical and commercial performance
• Identification and delivery of continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
• Leadership, mentoring and performance management of open pit leadership teams
