Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances
We are looking for Enterprise Sales Executives and Alliances Sales Directors to drive revenue growth and partner program success at Canonical. The role supports the global sales and alliances teams across all seniority levels.

Remote opportunities available globally.
Responsibilities
- Advance a deep understanding of Linux, cloud software ecosystem, and open‑source selling models.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms.
- Build and expand strategic relationships with hardware vendors, software vendors, system integrators, distributors and channel partners.
- Own the strategy and development of sales engagements and drive market expansion.
- Grow customer awareness of open‑source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu.
- Deliver on targets and objectives while acting as the partner and/or customer voice.
- Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships in person.
- Align and support internal field teams to identify, support, grow and transact opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing, sales engineering and product management to meet targets.
- Lead executive interlocks between partners/customers and our own leadership team.
Qualifications
- Track record of exceeding revenue expectations in the technology field.
- Experience with Linux and open source.
- Exceptional academic background from high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling alternative narrative.
- Confident communicator who can speak up and share ideas without hesitation.
- Leadership and commitment to skills development and mentorship.
- Passion for technology evidenced by personal projects and initiatives.
- Strong work ethic and confidence to collaborate with motivated colleagues.
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility and accountability.
- Appreciation for diversity and ability to work in a multi‑cultural, multi‑national organization.
- Self‑motivation, results‑oriented mindset and high personal drive.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks, and more regularly as required.
