Canonical is a leading provider of open‑source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT.
While founded in 2004, Canonical remains fully remote with occasional in‑person meetings to align strategy and execution.

We have remote opportunities available globally.
Responsibilities
- Advance a deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystems and open‑source selling models
- Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms
- Build and expand strategic relationships
- Own the strategy and development of the sales engagements
- Grow customer awareness of open‑source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu
- Deliver on targets and objectives, providing a voice for partner and/or customer
- Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships in person
- Align with and support internal field teams to identify, support, grow, and transact opportunities
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales Engineering and Product Management to achieve objectives
- Lead executive interlocks between partners, customers and our own leadership team
Qualifications
- Track record of exceeding revenue expectations in the technology sector
- Experience with Linux and open‑source products
- Exceptional academic record at both high‑school and university levels
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or an alternative path with strong narrative
- Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation
- Leadership and commitment to skills development and mentorship
- Passion for technology demonstrated by personal projects and initiatives
- Strong work ethic and confidence to collaborate with motivated colleagues
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
- Appreciative of diversity, polite and effective in a multi‑cultural, multi‑national environment
- Thoughtful self‑motivation with a results‑oriented mindset and high personal drive
- Ability to travel internationally up to twice a year for company events and more regularly for client meetings
