Open Source Networking Software Engineer - ToR Switch / SmartNIC / DPU

Canonical is seeking an exceptional software engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in networking, a passion for open-source software, and experience with Linux.

The role involves working with the most advanced operating systems and network application technologies available, participating upstream and delivering the Ubuntu SoNIC stack, collaborating with public clouds and network silicon providers, and designing and implementing the best software-defined networking experience for the data center.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional academic track record, a strong understanding of Linux networking, and fluency in C/C++ and at least one of Rust, Python, or Golang.
