Responsabilities

Summary

The duties and responsibilities of this position are to both operate and maintain the Astoria 500 MW Combined Cycle Plant to meet availability, generation and plant heat rate requirements following all local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities

Operating the power plant includes operating a combined cycle power generation plant as Operating Technician in field operations, unit shutdowns and startups and getting qualified operating the plant from the Control Room. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining all plant components including gas and steam turbine, heat recovery steam generators, environmental control, steam & water quality, cooling tower, boiler feed, condensate, circulating water and fuel systems.
