Operations Director (Multi-Site Manufacturing / Lean Transformation)

Guadalajara, Mexico

$120,000 USD Base + 25% Variable + Full Benefits + LATAM Travel

An opportunity for a mid-career Operations Director to step into a high-impact, regional role with a global manufacturing group undergoing operational transformation across Mexico and Latin America.

This role is designed for an operations leader who has already led change in complex manufacturing environments and is ready to take full ownership of multi-site operations, Lean deployment, and people development. The business operates a growing footprint across the Americas and is investing significantly in operational maturity, capability building, and leadership depth.

The successful candidate will inherit operations that are transitioning away from firefighting toward structured Lean manufacturing, disciplined performance management, and clear accountability. This role will act as the owner of that transformation.

You will lead multiple manufacturing sites across Mexico, working closely with plant leadership teams to embed Lean principles, strengthen safety and quality performance, and build a culture of ownership, clarity, and continuous improvement.

This position suits an ambitious, industrious operations leader who knows what good looks like, manages objectively by numbers, and leads with humility and presence on the shop floor.

The Role:

  • Lead and oversee multi-site manufacturing operations across Mexico
  • Own and drive Lean transformation, continuous improvement, safety and quality
  • Transition operations from reactive firefighting to disciplined, metrics-driven performance
  • Develop and coach plant leaders, building strong succession and leadership capability
  • Improve cross-functional collaboration across CI, H&S, Quality and Engineering
  • Support future operational expansion across Latin America (Brazil, Chile and beyond)
  • Travel across LATAM as the regional footprint develops

    • The Person:

  • Mid-career Operations Director or Senior Operations Manager
  • Proven experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations
  • Strong Lean and CI background with practical, on-the-floor credibility
  • Track record of leading operational transformation, not just maintaining performance
  • Clear, structured communicator who manages objectively by numbers
  • Strong ownership mindset, humility, and people-first leadership style
  • Mexican national, resident, or LATAM-based leader willing to relocate to Guadalajara
  • Fluent Spanish and English strongly preferred
