Our client, a leading diesel performance workshop in Southeast Queensland, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team based on the Sunshine Coast.

Specialising in servicing all diesel vehicles from light 4WDs to commercial trucks and heavy equipment, the business operates two key locations - Sunshine Coast & Brisbane.

This role is pivotal in growing and developing two key market areas in the heavy vehicle sector whilst overseeing procedure, process, monitoring performance and optimising overall service delivery and operational efficiency.

As Operations Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise workshop workflow and capacity utilisation.
  • Manage technician teams and support staff ensuring efficient scheduling, workload balance, and maintaining ambitious standards of safety, quality, and profitability.
  • Oversee diagnostic and repair processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency, maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Support business expansion initiatives in key markets and optimise existing service lines by removing unprofitable areas.
  • Manage financial aspects including purchase orders, stock levels, quoting accuracy, and supplier relationships to strengthen profitability.
  • Contribute to recruitment, training, and development fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture.
  • Champion a positive safety culture and ensure transparent communication with customers throughout their service experience.

Ideal candidates will have an automotive trade background or relevant industry experience with proven managerial capability. Key skills include problem-solving under pressure, process improvement, project management, financial literacy, and a strong customer-centric focus.

This full-time salaried position offers a competitive base salary around $100,000 plus superannuation, combined with a fully maintained company dual cab vehicle and fuel card, plus monthly performance bonuses negotiated on KPIs.
