Part of Global Solutions, KAM Oceania , is responsible for the global brands Traka and KEYper within the Oceania region. Our offering within key and asset management serves a core security need within many industries. Our solutions cater to organizations seeking efficient key and asset management systems, ensuring security, accountability, and operational efficiency across various sectors.
Key and asset management involves the organized and secure control of physical keys, equipment, and other assets. It encompasses the tracking, monitoring, and accountability of keys and assets throughout their lifecycle.
Your Role: As the Operations Manager for KAM Oceania, you will have the opportunity to lead the operational excellence for the region and ensure the success of the operations, production, and manufacturing areas of the business.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and collaborating with the global Head of Operations, you will be responsible for taking ownership of the operational excellence strategy for the business. This position will oversee day‑to‑day operations, lead the operations team, and work directly with product and logistics suppliers to ensure excellence in quality, safety, security and customer service.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement the strategy for Operational Excellence within the region.
- Manage supply chain and critical supplier relationships.
- Manage logistics, import and export areas for the business.
- Coordinate inventory management activities including monthly reporting.
- Coordinate production and manufacturing resources to deliver on quality assurance, lead times and customer service.
- Support your team to ensure daily and weekly production targets are achieved; be hands‑on when required.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders across business areas to maximise the full potential of the business and deliver excellent customer service.
- Lead, motivate and develop an exceptional Operations team.
- Manage health, safety and environmental aspects of the business to ensure they are upheld to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with Finance team for management of stock, operational costs and reporting.
- Support R&D team in project coordination, supplier management and procurement.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Manager from time to time.
- Maintain a customer focus whilst upholding the company’s reputation for safety, security and quality.
What We Expect Of You
- Proven experience in Operations Management, ideally within the security industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills and experience, with the ability to collaborate across business functions.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, budgets and performance metrics.
- Willingness to maintain and/or complete a relevant security industry–based clearance.
- Australian Citizenship.
- Customer‑centric mindset, with the ability to understand and anticipate both internal and external stakeholder needs.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence and high‑quality output.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment; willing to be hands‑on and take initiative.
