About The Role

This position is accountable for the operations of 20 cement and cementitious distribution and shipping facilities across Eastern Canada. The Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the Terminal Managers, Shipping Coordinators, and personnel at third‑party sites located within the distribution areas across the provinces of Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic, including First Nations lands. In addition, the candidate is responsible for leading capital projects and operational efficiencies, recommending improvement for the sites.

  • Improve operational efficiency.
  • Compliance with regulations.
  • Drive Aspire and other supply chain objectives.
  • Improve customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively manage community relations and engagement in all communities where distribution and shipping facilities are located.
  • Right cost/service balance.
  • Build and develop staff
  • Lead key operational projects.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred (Business administration, supply chain, logistics management, project management, etc.).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of work experience in operations, logistics, or related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with various computer applications is an asset.
  • Travel: May account for 50% of the role, depending on business needs.

Additional Requirements

  • Preference for bilingual candidate.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in fast‑paced environments.
  • Conflict and relationship management skills.
  • Proven leadership and people development skillset.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
