Role Overview

This role is critical to the smooth, safe and compliant operation of our daily transport activities. Often described as the heartbeat of the organisation , the Operations Scheduler is responsible for coordinating daily transport schedules, container movements and driver allocations while ensuring compliance with NHVR legislation and company policies. You will work closely with drivers, subcontractors, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met and service levels are exceeded.

Main Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling daily container pick-ups, deliveries and de-hires
• Coordinating drivers and subcontractors to meet operational requirements
• Managing bookings and transport schedules
• Monitoring fleet availability, mass management and maintenance requirements
• Liaising professionally with customers and internal teams
• Ensuring 100% compliance with safety, WHS and transport legislation

What you will bring:

• Scheduling or transport coordination experience (3+ years desirable)
• Working knowledge of transport and logistics operations
• Excellent time management, multitasking and forward-planning skills
• Strong teamwork skills with the confidence to lead and make decisions
• Sound computer skills (Microsoft Office and transport systems)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
• Ability to work under pressure with resilience and composure
• Proactive, decisive and customer-focused approach
• Strong communication skills when dealing with drivers and customers
