Located near West Wyalong in central New South Wales, Cowal is a residential site where we encourage our people to live nearby and enjoy the close-knit communities and lifestyles of the surrounding areas.

This roster is 7:7 roster (7days, 7 off, 7 nights) and a 12 hour day. Thursday to Wednesday swing.

About the Role

As a Process Operator at Cowal, you’ll play a vital role in the safe and efficient operation of the Processing Plant, including crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching, and control room management. Working as part of our processing team, you’ll help optimise performance, maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, and support continuous improvement across all plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimise processing parameters to ensure consistent, efficient production.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide clear shift handovers.
• Complete plant isolations (up to Level 3) and respond to process or equipment issues.
• Assist maintenance teams with plant breakdowns and technical challenges.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to support safe, reliable operations.
• Contribute to procedure development, inspections, audits, and training activities.
• Support process improvement initiatives and uphold Evolution Mining’s values.

About You
You are a reliable and self driven operator who thrives in a fast-paced processing environment. With a strong focus on safety and teamwork you bring the technical skills and problem-solving ability needed to keep plant operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What we’re looking for:

• Certificate III in Metalliferous Mining / Resource Processing (advantageous).
• Previous experience in gold or mineral processing plants (highly regarded).
• Strong decision making skills, attention to detail, and high work standards.
• Proven ability to collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
• Experience working with DCS/control systems and confidence using MS Office.
• Organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
