Job Description
Job Summary:
Safely operate shuttle buggy per manufacturer’s operations training to receive hot mix asphalt from dump trucks and transfer it into the paver hopper/ hopper insert in a continuous flow to facilitate non-stop paving. Perform daily machine inspection and maintenance as per manufacturer’s guidelines. This hourly, non-exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision.
Essential Functions:
* Perform machine walk around inspection daily, checking fluid levels, hoses, tires, chains/sprockets/wear components to verify the machine is capable of performing safely and productively.
* Report equipment deficiencies to Foreman via squawk sheet.
* Perform pre-shift component check to verify all systems are functioning properly.
* Operate the shuttle buggy in coordination with the dumpman and Paver Operator to match the material inflow, on-board storage and material discharge to the paver to meet the prescribed tons per ho...
