Eye Doctors of Washington has an exciting career opportunity for aa full time Ophthalmic Technician at our 19th St., Washington, DC office location. Our Top Candidate will bring at least one year of verifiable experience working in an ophthalmology practice as an Ophthalmic Technician. Candidates must be able to manually refract. Candidates possessing a COA or COT are highly preferred.

The Ophthalmic Technician will perform a range of duties which include preparing the patient to see Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist and conduct preliminary exam and captures medical history. In addition, the preparation of examination and treatment rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures may be required. Travel to other locations may also be necessary to support clinical needs.
