Key Skills: Vehicle Exterior Components (Plastics, Sheet Metal, Trims)
Sourcing (Vehicle Exterior Parts)
- Understand Specification & Requirements: Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to thoroughly understand technical specifications, quality standards, and material requirements for new and existing exterior parts.
- RFQ/RFI Preparation: Prepare and float detailed Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quote (RFQ) packages to potential and existing suppliers for designated commodities.
- Cost Negotiation: Lead and execute detailed Cost Negotiation with suppliers, utilizing cost breakdown sheets and should-cost models to achieve competitive pricing and annual cost savings targets.
- Supplier Selection: Analyse quotes, technical proposals, and commercial terms to recommend the optimal supplier based on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model.
