POSITION SUMMARY

Performs eye examinations and vision tests to determine the presence of visual, ocular and other abnormalities, and prescribes lenses, other optical aids or therapy.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate ability in providing outstanding patient care
  • Coach, train and mentor other Optical department employees
  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality with all patient information
  • Follow proper Optical Centre, general safety and security procedures and standards
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
  • Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and suppliers.

  • Have successfully completed appropriate tertiary studies in Optometry;
