Job Description

The Oracle Hyperion Technical Architect is responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end technical architecture of Oracle Hyperion EPM environments. This role provides strategic direction, solution design, and technical leadership for all Hyperion infrastructure and application components. The architect ensures optimal system performance, scalability, security, and integration across business, infrastructure, and cloud platforms.<br /> <br /> The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Hyperion architecture, infrastructure engineering, system integration, and automation - driving modernization, zero-downtime operations, and operational excellence across global environments.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b>Roles & Responsibilities:</b><br /> 1. Architecture Design & Strategy<br /> Define the overall Hyperion EPM technical architecture covering application, web, and database tiers.<br /> Design high-availability, scalable, and secure environments across on-prem, hybrid, or cloud (Azure/AWS) deployments.<br /> Establish technical standards, infrastructure topology, and environment configuration baselines.<br /> Evaluate and recommend modernization strategies - including automation, DR, cloud migration, and performance optimization.<br /> Create detailed architecture blueprints and capacity models for future growth.<br /> <br /> <b>2. Infrastructure Implementation & Governance</b><br /> Oversee environment builds for Hyperion components (HFM, Planning, Essbase, FDMEE, FR, DRM, Shared Services, Workspace).<br /> Define and validate installation, configuration, and patching guidelines across environments.<br /> Standardize and govern WebLogic, OHS/IIS, SSL, and load balancer (F5/Nginx) configurations.<br /> Drive system hardening, environment isolation, and infrastructure consistency across all tiers (DEV, UAT, PROD).<br /> Own DR (Disaster Recovery) architecture and testing framework.<br /> <br /> <b>3. Integration & Automation</b><br /> Define integration architecture between Hyperion, databases, ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), and external applications.<br /> Architect automation frameworks for service restarts, health checks, backups (LCM & Lvl0), and patching.<br /> Drive adoption of self-healing and zero-downtime operational models using scripting and orchestration tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Control-M).<br /> Collaborate with data integration teams to streamline FDMEE, ODI, and ETL pipelines.<br /> <br /> <b>4. Performance, Security & Compliance</b><br /> Design system monitoring and performance baselines for all Hyperion modules.<br /> Lead root cause analysis and capacity planning to ensure long-term system stability.<br /> Define security models for SSL, SSO, LDAP/AD, and role-based access.<br /> Ensure compliance with organizational and audit standards (SOX, ISO, ITIL).<br /> Conduct periodic risk assessments and enforce remediation controls.<br /> <br /> <b>5. Technical Leadership & Collaboration</b><br /> Act as the technical authority for all Hyperion-related infrastructure and integration discussions.<br /> Partner with application, database, and network teams to ensure seamless deployments.<br /> Provide architectural guidance during environment migrations, upgrades, and version transitions.<br /> Mentor administrators and engineers, fostering best practices and continuous learning.<br /> Present architecture roadmaps and design proposals to leadership and stakeholders<br /> <br /> <b>Professional & Technical Skills:</b><br /> Hyperion EPM suite (HFM, Planning, Essbase, FDMEE, FR, DRM, Shared Services, Workspace).<br /> WebLogic, Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), IIS, and load balancer (F5/Nginx) setup and tuning.<br /> Scripting for automation (Shell, PowerShell, Python).<br /> Database administration and performance optimization (Oracle/SQL Server).<br /> SSL, SSO, LDAP/Active Directory integrations.<br /> Backup, DR, and high-availability design.<br /> Strong understanding of distributed systems, middleware, and network architecture.<br /> Experience with cloud (Azure/AWS/OCI), and container-based deployments (optional).<br /> Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication abilities.<br /> Proven experience in leading cross-functional technical teams.<p><p><b>VDart: Digital Consulting & Staffing Solutions</b></p> <p>VDart is a leading digital consulting and staffing company founded in 2007 and headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia.
