Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Oracle Retail Consultant to join our Retail Transformation practice. The ideal candidate will have strong techno-functional expertise in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) , Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) , and Point of Sale (POS/NG POS) solutions. You will play a critical role in implementing, upgrading, and supporting mission-critical retail applications for our global enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Implementation: Lead and participate in the implementation and configuration of Oracle Retail modules, specifically RMS, ReSA, and Xstore (NG POS).
• Techno-Functional Analysis: Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. Conduct gap analysis, map business processes to Oracle Retail standard functionality, and design custom solutions where necessary.
• System Configuration: Handle foundational data setup (Item, Location, Supplier) in RMS and configure transaction audit rules in ReSA.
• POS Integration: Manage the integration and data flow between the POS (Point of Sale) systems and the head office merchandising systems (RMS/ReSA). Ensure accurate sales data polling and processing.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide L2/L3 support for production issues. Debug PL/SQL packages, analyze log files, and resolve data integrity issues within the merchandising suite.
• Testing & Validation: Create and execute test scripts (SIT/UAT) for new enhancements and patches.
• Client Interaction: Work directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, provide status updates, and conduct user training.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Retail Suite.
• Core Modules:
• Deep understanding of RMS (Retail Merchandising System) : Foundation Data, Inventory Management, Purchasing, and Stock Ledger.
• Proficiency in ReSA (Retail Sales Audit) : Totaling, Rule configuration, Error management, and RTLOG processing.
• Exposure to POS / NG POS (Next Gen POS) : Experience with Oracle Xstore or similar enterprise POS solutions and their integration with backend ERPs.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong skills in PL/SQL , SQL, and Oracle Database.
• Experience with Shell Scripting (Unix/Linux).
• Familiarity with Oracle Retail Data Model (MOM).
• Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Retail lifecycle (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash).

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Oracle Retail Cloud (SaaS) versions (MFCS/RPCS).
• Knowledge of RIB (Retail Integration Bus) or modern integration tools (OIC/MuleSoft).
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with global clients.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
