JOB DESCRIPTION
  • 8+ years of middleware administration experience

  • 3+ years in a lead or senior middleware role managing enterprise customers

  • Act as Lead Middleware Administrator for Oracle WebLogic and associated middleware platforms
    Provide 24x7 operational support with end-to-end ownership of SLAs, KPIs, and service availability
    Handle L3/L4 escalations, root cause analysis, and preventive actions
    Ensure adherence to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)

    Administer and support:

    Oracle WebLogic Server
    Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
    IBM HTTP Server (IHS)
    IBM WebSphere Application Server & WebSphere MQ
    JBoss / Red Hat JBoss EAP
    Apache Tomcat
    NGINX
    Apache Web Server
    Microsoft IIS
    Kubernetes-based middleware deployments

    Plan and execute middleware upgrades and migrations, including:
    WebLogic and WebSphere version upgrades
    Application server and web server migrations
    On-prem to cloud / container-based migrations (Kubernetes)
    Perform impact analysis, risk assessment, rollback planning, and validation
    Support modernization initiatives including containerization and platform consolidation

    Design, implement, and support HA/DR architectures, including:
    WebLogic clustering and session replication
    WebSphere clusters and MQ HA configurations
    Load balancer integrations (NGINX, Apache, IHS, IIS)
    Kubernetes high availability and resilience patterns
    Perform DR drills, failover testing, and documentation

    Monitor middleware platforms for availability, performance, and capacity
    Perform performance tuning (thread pools, JVM tuning, connection pools)
    Implement security best practices, including SSL/TLS, certificates, hardening, and access controls
    Integrate middleware monitoring with enterprise tools (OEM, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc.)
