Outpatient Dermatology Charge Nurse - Mohs Surgery

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Outpt Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora Department: Derm MOH Surgery Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $38.91 - $60.31/hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Summary: As a Charge Nurse in our outpatient dermatology setting specializing in Mohs surgery, you will provide essential nursing leadership, ensuring exceptional patient care within a dynamic medical office environment. Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff throughout your shift, balancing staff assignments with patient needs and acuity. Deliver direct patient care as needed, assisting staff with problem-solving and stepping in to take on patient assignments when necessary. Address and resolve patient care complaints, facilitate admissions or discharges, and coordinate transfers as necessary. Ensure staff has the necessary resources and supplies to deliver high-quality, safe patient care. In this role, you will apply critical thinking and decisive judgment while working independently in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an approved institution within three years of taking the Charge Nurse position. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. BLS certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, valid through at least sixty days of hire.
