Owner Master Data Governance -Solution architect- (m/f/d)

We are looking for an Application Owner for our Master Data Management solution to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating state-of-the-art Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions based on SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will drive the integration of SimpleMDG, modern API technologies, and event-driven architectures to enable global, scalable master data processes.

Mainly Tasks:

• Consult internal stakeholders in a global transformation initiative targeting the implementation of a centralized MDG template.
• Define and implement MDG architecture including Central Governance, Consolidation, and Data Quality Management.
• Drive the adoption of SimpleMDG on SAP BTP for agile, no-code workflows and rapid deployment.
• Develop and decide on IT concepts within the framework of a defined IT strategy for Master Data Management.
• Ensure seamless integration of MDG with other SAP modules and complex global non-SAP applications.
• Design and govern API-first integration using OData, REST, and SAP Integration Suite (API Management, Cloud Integration).
• Implement event-driven architecture leveraging Cloud services for real-time data distribution.
• Take overall ownership for the MDG application landscape, including roadmap, security, compliance, and KPIs.
• Act as main contact for other process areas to ensure consistent, integrated end-to-end processes.
• Take on the role of (sub-)project manager in MDG-related projects.

Your Profile

• Degree in business administration, (business) informatics, or comparable disciplines.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in Master Data Management consulting and architecture.
• Profound knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA, a master data management software like Simple MDG on BTP, and integration technologies (OData, REST, SOAP, IDoc/ALE).
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, and event-driven integration architecture is preferred
• Familiarity with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and Clean Core principles.
• Effective communication skills to interact with both business users and IT teams.
• Strong analytical skills to assess business needs and propose MDG solutions.
• Confidence, ability to work in an international team, flexibility, and assertiveness.
• Ability to work independently in alignment with major stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel (~30%).
• Very good written and spoken English and Spanish skills complete your profile.
• German is a nice to have.
