Job Description
SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or shipment by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used and other packaging requirements.Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.Starts, adjusts and repairs packaging machinery, or notifies maintenance department.Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to work stations.Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.Interprets company policies to workers and reinforces safety regulations.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Recommends measures to improve p...
