Job Summary:
To prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods (abrasive, blasting, high pressure water washing, or power wire brushing). Operate both hand and spray-painting equipment to apply protective coatings to manufactured items.
Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Prepares material for painting, includes sandblasting, cleaning and surface preparation, removal of paint, and applying grease to surfaces as required
+ Mixes paints and applies the proper procedures and specifications for brush or spray gun.
+ Operates painting equipment per procedures/specifications
+ Sand Blast/Paint - includes changing paint/blast booth filters as needed.
+ Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
+ Assists in the training of new or less experienced employees.
+ Maintains department equipment in serviceable condition. Also includes the disposal of hazardous waste created by either process, and storing t...
