Painter / Blaster

Introduction

We are seeking a Painter/Blaster to join Repairs team. You will be responsible for the painting and blasting of Metso Equipment at the Mackay Facility. This is a Monday – Friday position and you will report into the Service Centre Manager. As this role is located in Mackay, it will be suited to a local resident.

What you’ll do

• Dressing items with a grinder for paint prepping, according to specifications set out on drawings.
• Perform routine maintenance of production tools to specifications.
• Basic process planning applicable to paint and blast shop planning activities.
• Operate hand tools and power tools appropriate to the job.
• Operate forklift/crane where required.
• Order materials for the replacement of consumable items where needed.
• Assist in the provision of on-the-job training when required.
• Manual handling of loads with weights varying between 5-20kg.
